Initial DESIGN meeting
We will set an initial meeting to get to know each other and discuss the high-level details of your project. This is a great opportunity to ask questions you may have about the process and to share any ideas that you would like to incorporate into your new home. (You do not have to do any prior research to begin the process since we can help you design a plan from scratch, but we openly welcome any ideas you may have collected along the way as a starting point for your home.)
This initial design meeting will also give us a chance to ask questions to ensure we fully understand your needs, and to better equip us as we start the initial designs.
SET A PLAN
Once we have collected enough information, we will set a preliminary plan. This preliminary plan is the starting point from which we will refine your plan down to what will ultimately be built. During this process, we ask for your input on revisions and details you would like to see added to ensure the design is exactly what you want. We will go through a couple rounds of revisions until the design is approved. Based on your preference, we can communicate via email, phone or in-person meetings.
SECURE THE PERMITS & Choose a contractor
After your design is finalized, a permit will need to be acquired from the local township so that construction can begin. We take care of this step for you so you can simply enjoy the process of being involved in the design rather than the legalities of building approval.
We have great connections with local builders and can connect you with any of them to help execute your project. If you have already chosen a builder, we are happy to work with them when it comes time for the plan to be built. We ensure your design plan is detailed in a way that is satisfactory for any builder to ensure a smooth construction process.
FULL COLOR RENDERINGS
Without a clear picture, it can be difficult to envision what your home will look like. In addition to our standard design process, we also offer full color renderings of your future home.
We do our best to take into consideration any specific color, material, or brand of product you plan to use for your project. This allows us to create conceptual color renderings that will help bring your project to life and ease the decision-making process leading up to the final result. Renderings maybe of your home’s interior or exterior.
